Turn off Pop-up blocker on Google Nexus 7

This is a short article on the steps required to turn off pop-up blocker in Google Chrome installed on Google Nexus 7. By default the pop up blocker is enabled in Google Chrome. But if you are frequently accessing websites that display popups that you need to have access to then you can turn off pop blocker using the Settings available as part of Google Chrome.

Step 1: Launch Google Chrome on Google Nexus 7

Step 2: Access the Chrome Settings by tapping option available at the top right hand corner.

Step 3: In the Google Chrome settings screen, tap the Content settings option under Advanced section.

Step 4: Now to turn off the pop up blocker, un mark the checkbox with label as Block pop-ups to allow pop-ups from websites.

How to turn off the Safari pop up blocker in iPad 2

iPad 2 comes with pre-installed Safari web browser which provides pleasant surfing experience. In case you are accessing websites with pop ups then you can use the iPad settings for disabling the popup blocker.

1. Tap the settings icon in the Home screen

2. Navigate to the Safari menu and then to the Block Pop-ups option

3. To Turn off Popup blocker in iPad 2 tap the grey area next to ON option value Block Pop-ups.

How to turn off pop up blocker in Google Chrome

Google Chrome has an inbuilt pop up blocker feature. The default option is set is Do not allow any site to show pop-ups. You can disable pop up blocker in Google Chrome using Options menu similar to ie8 pop up blocker

Click on the Options menu

And navigate to Under the Hood tab and Click on the Content settings button

In the Content settings window, navigate to Pop-ups tab and select Allow all sites to show pop-ups under the Pop-up Settings.
